Won't You Be My Friend?
We'll end this month of friendship topics with something a little bit different. Rather then writing about your best friend, or existing friends, how about telling us about someone you would like to befriend.....
Do you know someone you'd like to be friends with but don't know how to go about it? Too shy maybe? Write it in a letter, a poem or just tell us your thoughts about it.
Dear Anon, I remember the first time I saw you, I felt intimidated by you because you're just so beautiful and perfect looking.
Then I found out that you're a really nice funny person. I would really like to ask you to be my friend. Can we just do things that friends do? I'd really like to. I'd love to go out with you and maybe see a movie or something.
Maybe this will never happen because I'm just too shy. I don't know how to make friends very well, never have.
If you read this though...Please be my friend! I know I'm shy and I don't talk much, which makes people think I am a little weird, but I'm a nice person underneath that if you'd just give me a chance. I'm moving to a whole new country and I'm leaving behind all that I know, and it would be wonderful to have a friend like you there.
I know I'm rambling, even writing this letter makes me nervous. I hope that you understand.
