< I will never be a size 6 and am thankful! >
2003-09-27My sister sherry and I are discussing our clothing sizes (european not USA sizes). I'm a pear shape, so i'm about a 10 on top and a 12-14 on bottom (depending on whether i want it fitted or loose). This makes dresses awkward. I have a small waist and big hips. So dresses that fit my hips are baggy on my waist, and usually a little too loose on the top too. Maybe this is why i hate clothes shopping. Throw in the fact that I am tall and it makes it damn hard to find ANYTHING to wear.
My sister sherry is a size 10-12, and about 5'11. My other sister kerry is a size 8! That is freaking tiny! well maybe not in america, I mean what the hell is a size 0??? Is that a way of saying you're so tiny we can't even give you a number? I mean someone please tell me what the hell a size 0 is???
Ok Calm down Gina....deep breath....
I may have gone off the deep end there but I am truly confused and freaked out at the concept of a size 0. My sister wears an extra small, when she buys clothes in the sml, med, large sizings. How can you get much smaller?
I think the smallest european size is a 6 as far as I've seen, and that looks like children's clothing. Seriously it does.
Since when has having the body of a six year old child been sexy? Cause that is about the size of most of the models and actresses nowadays as far as I can tell.
Time to stop ranting and start walking...I'll try and update more often.
*muah*
Later: I've looked it up and a UK size 8 is a US size 6. A UK 10 is a US size 8, and a UK 12 is a size 10...so my sister kerry is a US size 6, My sister sherry is a US size 8-10, and I am an 8 on the top half and a 10 on the bottom...just to clear things up a bit. I mean in case you cared or something.
